Saab barely manages to pay July's salaries

Saab is breaking every piggy bank it can find, borrowing money from grandma and using up all the resources left with its few investors, in a desperate attempt to cover the sun with one hand. Just a couple of days ago, a large part of the workforce finally managed to collect their July salaries.
The payment arrived just in time, before Saab’s trade unions could file a petition for insolvency.
But don’t think the situation is sorted. Suppliers have yet to reach an agreement with the Swedish brand over all the money owed to them. As a result, Saab’s most optimistic spokespeople say car production will not begin until after August 29 at the earliest.
With only a couple of small Chinese investors on Saab’s side, Victor Muller can do very little. But the Saab president is eagerly hoping that the investment from Russia’s Antonov is released, since, as things stand, it is the only solution left for the manufacturer.
