SC-01, the new two-seater electric sports car from China
With no less than 430 CV, a range of more than 500 kilometres and a price close to 40,000 euros, this electric sports car is born, built by a Chinese start-up

The arrival of electrification in today’s car market has already brought numerous compacts, saloons, estates and even commercial vehicles. However, there is still no great offer of true electric sports cars designed with the sole aim of enjoying the drive.
Faced with this scenario, the small Chinese company Small Sports Car has just presented its new SC-01, a small 100% electric two-seater sports car that will arrive next year, 2023, with high-level performance, a specific tuning and, all in all, at a truly attractive price.
According to what we have learned through the Chinese media outlet Sohu, the new sports car will measure 4,085 mm in length, 1,820 mm in width and 1,162 mm in height, so to give you an idea, its dimensions will be similar to a Porsche 718 or an Alpine A110 and slightly larger than an MX-5.

A performance-focused configuration
Under the bodywork of this attractive sports car lies a tubular chassis that has been combined with dual wishbone horizontal-layout dampers, in the style of what we find in true high-end supercars.
Despite being an electric vehicle, according to what they have confirmed, it will weigh around 1,300 kg, a really good figure considering that we are dealing with a sports car with a very low centre of gravity and 430 CV transmitted to all four wheels, which, in addition to giving it very agile and sporty handling, will allow it to go from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.9 seconds.

A surprising range from the outset
Although these are not yet homologated figures, the company confirms that its sports car will be able to cover up to 500 kilometres on a single charge according to the NEDC cycle, so we will have to wait for the final figures to get an idea of its reach.
Among the published photos, there is none showing its interior, although we do know that simple, spartan-style materials will be used to reduce costs, since the main key of this vehicle is that its price will start at around 300,000 yuan, or in other words, around 43,000 euros at current exchange rates.
