SEAT leads the market so far this year

The Spanish brand has good reason to celebrate, as its Ibiza model is the best-selling car in February, helping the company, which is part of the VW group, reach first place in sales in our country so far this year. One of its main rivals, the Renault Mégane, is the best-selling car to date.
The brand’s registrations in our country grew by more than 68% last month, twenty points more than the average, totalling 9,083 vehicles, which represents a market share of almost 10%, one point ahead of its main competitor.
On the other side of the scale is the successful Saab, which in February managed to register, mind you, one car. The same brand has been on a downward trajectory, but with ridiculous numbers: no wonder GM went bankrupt, since last year in February the brand sold no more and no less than nineteen vehicles in Spain. It’s not even worth keeping a dealership open.
In the first two months, the market leader was the Renault Mégane with 7,698 units, ahead of the Seat Ibiza with 7,307 units, Citroën C4 with 6,387 units, Nissan Qashqai with 5,749 units and Ford Fiesta with 5,113 units. However, in February, with 4,444 units sold, the Ibiza overtakes the Mégane by just over 100 units. The battle for the best-selling car is on.
