Seat León: GNC version of the compact returns
The Seat León 1.5 TGI EVO returns to the automotive market after its sudden farewell in June. A farewell caused by filling the production quota in Spain and Germany.
After months of work and searching for solutions, the Seat León powered by compressed natural gas (CNG) is back on the market. The compact returns with an engine upgrade, going from a 1.4 TGI with 110 CV to a 1.5 TGI with 130 CV of power. This means a top speed of 206 km/h and an acceleration of 0 to 100 km/h in 9.9 seconds. Finally, Seat will introduce this technology across its range of commercial vehicles.

Seat León 1.5 TGI: News and innovative performance
One of the novelties of this compact is the addition of a third CNG tank. Together with the two remaining petrol tanks, it provides a range of 500 km. In addition, the 9-litre petrol tank adds 150 extra km, bringing the combined range to 650 kilometres.

Regarding consumption, everything will depend on the version chosen. The five-door model with DSG automatic gearbox in CNG mode can cover 100 km for €3.15. This will be 50% cheaper than the equivalent petrol and diesel models. Likewise, this technology reduces polluting emissions to between 95 and 98 g/km of CO2.
The DGT grants it the ECO environmental label due to the installation of the CNG system. This will bring a series of advantages in vehicle road tax (75% discount), registration, driving during high-pollution episodes and parking in the SER zone.
