SEAT shows us the company's history in a 90-second video

If there has been a major automotive company in Spain, that has been Seat. The company was born in Spain in 1950 and since then has been present in the market, not only in Spain but across all of Europe. It has possibly been responsible for the popularisation of car use in our country, thanks above all to the small city cars that turned Spanish roads into a parade of cars.
The most popular, without a doubt, was the Seat 600, a car that has become a “legendary” model and was enormously popular during the 1960s. With this model it reached many Spanish homes, although there were others that helped consolidate the brand’s presence in Spain. Today, it has another model that could also be called “legendary”, the Ibiza, and it is a company that, on an industrial level, is capable of designing, developing, manufacturing and marketing cars in Spain.
In terms of figures, the production of Seat, destined for markets around the world, accounts for 1% of GDP in our country and provides employment for some 70,000 people. The company’s headquarters are located in the Zona Franca of Barcelona, where it also has a plant, and although it belongs to the Volkswagen Group, it remains faithful to the Spanish DNA that saw it born 65 years ago. So, to celebrate more than half a decade producing cars, the brand wanted to look back at its history through this 90-second video.

It can be seen on television, but also in cinemas alongside the release of the film Star Wars: The Force Awakens, in cinemas in Madrid and Barcelona, so it will be widely watched over the coming days. But don’t worry, if you won’t be able to see it on the big screen, or if you’re one of those who uses the Gran Hermano breaks to go to the bathroom, you can watch it below. A look back at the Spanish brand that is well worth enjoying at your leisure.
