Service campaign for the IS range from Lexus in Spain

Lexus has detected a minor defect in the design and operation of the windscreen wiper arm, as the nut that secures it is insufficiently tightened. This means that, if the movement of the wipers were restricted by an external load, such as a build-up of snow on the windscreen, these could be rendered inoperative.
Although to date no incidents have been reported related to this problem, Lexus has decided to carry out a precautionary action and call in the IS, IS Cabrio and IS F models built since June 2005 for inspection. In Spain, the premium brand Toyota will contact the customers of the 8,221 units sold to resolve the fault, free of charge to the owner, as is standard practice.
