Epiq Skoda Electric Cars Compact SUV
Škoda previews the Epiq, its upcoming fully electric B-SUV, which will cost around 25,000 euros
Škoda presents the Epiq as the next member of its fully electric range, which will be officially unveiled in 2025 and will be built in Spain

“The Škoda Epiq will offer generous equipment at an attractive price and a spacious interior in a compact footprint. It will stand out for its modern design, its impressive range and its easy-to-use technology, all at an affordable price.” That is how Klaus Zellmer, CEO of Škoda, introduces the new fully electric compact SUV, which will not arrive until next year at the earliest. In 2025 the Czech brand will unveil as many as six new electric models, and this is the second of them.
For now the Epiq is shown to us as a sketch, but Škoda has already revealed some interesting details about this new model, which will sit in the B-SUV segment with a length of 4,100 mm. The brand has also confirmed that it will be built at the Volkswagen Group plant in the Navarran capital, Pamplona. They also venture to announce a starting price of 25,000 euros, with generous equipment as well, which according to Škoda makes it ideal for getting started in electric mobility.

The most significant thing we can take from the images revealed by Škoda is the new design language Modern Solid that the brand will adopt, characterised, as they put it, by combining robustness, functionality and authenticity. The Epiq shows a front end dominated by its “Tech-Deck Face” grille in gloss black, which also houses devices such as the radar and front camera, flanked by bifunctional LED elements shaped like a T for the daytime running lights and indicators. Just below these LED elements sit the Matrix LED headlights with a cubic design, along with the bumper painted in Unique Dark Chrome, which gives it a robust look.

Looking at the flanks of the Škoda Epiq, it has a respectable height that gives it the appearance of a larger SUV, something also achieved with the wheel-arch mouldings in a different colour from the bodywork, beneath which sit wheels designed to favour aerodynamics. Its roofline towards the rear is that of a classic SUV, although it slopes slightly at the end to blend into the rear spoiler, in a tail that is also enhanced by the bumper design. All of this is complemented by orange accents that contrast perfectly with the Moon White colour chosen for the rest of the body.

Inside, following the trend of most fully electric vehicles, minimalism reigns in a design based on the Modern Solid language, which also makes use of durable, practical and sustainable materials. The driving position is dominated by the two-spoke steering wheel with the new lettering and Škoda logo, which incorporates both physical buttons and haptic scroll wheels, behind which sits a small screen for the information the driver needs, while the larger screen, mounted horizontally, is dedicated to the infotainment system.

As is typical of a Škoda, the five occupants the Epiq can carry will benefit from the Simply Clever storage solutions, not to mention the generous 490 litres of boot capacity and, of course, a minimum technology package in line with what is expected today. What Škoda is keeping under wraps for now are the Epiq’s technical specifications, although they anticipate a maximum range of 400 kilometres and support for bidirectional charging.
