We haven’t finished digesting the changes proposed for the Skoda Octavia Combi, and now we’ve received news about the Superb. The top-of-the-range offering from Skoda will have two new limited versions and even more discounts on the Spanish market for the current model, while we wait for the new generation, which should arrive here around the end of June.

The prices of the current Superb will drop depending on the version, by between 1,000 and 3,000 euros. The Superb saloon with the 1.4 TFSI petrol engine of 125 CV and the Active trim level will be the cheapest and will cost 20,660 euros. For the estate version the cost will be 21,135 euros, with the same engine and trim level.

Moving on to the two limited-production models that will try to keep the current generation in the spotlight a little longer, the Skoda Superb Limited Edition will only be available as a saloon, with 1.6 TDI engines of 105 CV and 2.0 TDI of 140 CV, both paired with the manual gearbox. The standard equipment will be that of the Active trim and will include 9 airbags, stability and traction control (ESP+ASR), trip computer, Tempomat cruise control, Climatronic dual-zone climate control, front and rear electric windows, electrically adjustable mirrors, light sensor, CatVision interior lighting, radio with CD/MP3 player, monochrome display, auxiliary audio connection in the Jumbo Box and 8 speakers. The added value of the Limited Edition will be the 16-inch alloy wheels, the multifunction steering wheel and Bluetooth connection for mobile phones, at a price of 21,775 euros for the 1.6 TDI 105 CV variant.

The Superb Limited Edition Plus will be available for the saloon and the estate, although the saloon can only be purchased with the 1.6 TDI 105 CV and 2.0 TDI 140 CV diesel engines with manual gearbox. The estate is only available with the 2.0 TDI 140 CV and manual gearbox. This new variant will be based on the Ambition trim and will feature xenon headlights with active cornering and cross-traffic lighting, electrochromic interior mirror, electrically folding exterior mirrors and rain sensor. Additional features will include 17-inch alloy wheels, multifunction steering wheel, Bluetooth connection for mobile phones and the most complete Bolero radio.

The Limited Edition Plus saloon with the 1.6 TDI 105 CV engine will be sold in Spain for 23,230 euros, almost 1,000 euros less than the same vehicle with the Ambition trim. The differences are not as pronounced for the saloon with the 2-litre engine or for the Combi.
