Skoda Yeti Outdoor: arriving in January

The new Skoda Yeti Outdoor will launch on the Spanish market in January 2014 with a new design featuring a new front end with the incorporation of the new logo, a new rear end, new alloy wheels, new optional equipment and renewed interiors, along with more engine and transmission combinations.
The new Outdoor will feature front and rear elements such as the bumpers, the various side and door mouldings in black plastic, as well as silver-coloured mirrors. The new front end is now more horizontal and houses a distinctive grille and redesigned headlights, which are optionally available with bi-xenon and integrated LED daytime running lights. The front lights are rectangular and are now positioned under the front bumpers.
The new rear of the Yeti Outdoor has a new design that includes a new shape for the tailgate with distinctive lights, which accentuate the C-shape further and can be LED, and two cubist triangular elements next to the new logo, in line with the new look of Skoda. The interior has been completely renewed and includes three-spoke steering wheels in seven variants, new fabrics and patterns for the seat covers and new decorative lines on the dashboard.
Among the equipment, the Yeti now features for the first time the Park Assist Optical Parking Assistant with rear camera, in addition to the KESSY keyless entry and start system. Other features include the folding front passenger seatback, fold-down tables behind the front seats, several storage compartments and bottle holders. Functionality is the top priority in the boot, with anchor points and hooks.
The Yeti comes with seven engines, four diesel and three petrol, all of them turbocharged and with direct injection. Power ranges from 105 CV in the 1.2 TSI to 170 CV in the 2.0 TDI. The fifth generation of all-wheel drive with Haldex clutch is available for some engines. The new Yeti with automatic gearbox uses exclusively the six- or seven-speed DSG dual-clutch transmission. The 105 CV GreenLine 1.6 TDI with front-wheel drive and manual gearbox has CO2 emissions of just 119 grams per km and consumption of 4.6 litres per 100 km. There are three Green tec variants: the 140 CV 2.0 TDI with six-speed manual gearbox and the 105 CV 1.6 TDI with seven-speed DSG gearbox. The front-wheel-drive 1.4 TSI with manual gearbox is only available in its Green tec version. This package includes Start-Stop system, brake energy recovery and low rolling resistance tyres. The 170 CV 2.0 TDI diesel engine is available with all-wheel drive and six-speed DSG gearbox. Finally, the 105 CV Yeti 1.6 TDI with front-wheel drive now comes with a seven-speed DSG gearbox.
