Spain: The first Opel Ampera is delivered to Endesa
Opel Spain has delivered the first Ampera model handed over in Spain to the electricity company Endesa.

Today is a special day for Opel, as the first Opel Ampera in Spain has been handed over to the electricity company Endesa. This delivery coincides with the inauguration of the new charging posts that the utility has installed at the Opel plant in Figueruelas, the result of an existing collaboration agreement between both companies to develop electric mobility activities.
The event took place at the Spanish plant headquarters, attended by Antonio Cobo, Managing Director of General Motors Spain, Jaime Gros, Managing Director of Endesa in Aragon, the Councillor for Industry and Innovation of the Government of Aragon, Arturo Aliaga, and a group of journalists.
The Ampera’s wheels are powered by electricity at all times. A 16 kWh lithium-ion battery powers an electric motor of 150 CV/111 kW, offering, when fully charged, between 40 and 80 km of fully electric range. In extended-range mode, the range increases to more than 500 km without the need to stop and recharge.
According to the official regulation R(EC) 715/2007, which measures fuel consumption and CO2 emissions, the Ampera consumes 1.2 litres per 100 km and emits 27 g of CO2 per km. In terms of safety, the Opel Ampera has earned five stars from Euro NCAP. In Europe, around 7,000 orders for the Ampera have already been received.
