SportAuto takes the GT3 RS 4.0 to the Nürburgring

I bet you love the Porsche GT3 RS 4.0. You’ve never driven it, but watching (and above all listening to) videos like the one at the end of this post will make you want to sell your soul for one of them.
There are people in this world who are very lucky. They tend to be British, French or German. The latter are the ones who have had the privilege of driving the most extreme 911 on the famous Nürburgring track. Want to know the results? Keep reading.
Here are the results. The figures in brackets are for the GT3 RS 3.8.
Maximum power: 500 CV at 8,250 rpm (450 CV at 7,900 rpm)
Mass: 1,388 kg (1,417 kg)
Tyres: Michelin Pilot Sport Cup N1 (same)
0-100 km/h: 3.9 s (4.1 s)
0-200 km/h: 12.0 s (12.7 s)
200-0 km/h: 130.1 m (130.1 m)
Hockenheim short circuit: 1:09.5 min (1:09.6 min)
Nürburgring-Nordschleife circuit: 7:30.4 min (7:33.3 min)
As you can see, the GT3 RS 4.0 is not much faster than the 3.8, although it is true that the times of the former could have been better with a lower ambient temperature (it was 29°C).
SportAuto highlights the greater power of the RS 4.0 engine, as well as its superior stability at high speed compared with the RS 3.8.
And now the video. An uninterrupted acceleration from 0 to 300 km/h.
