Spy photos of the SUV that Hyundai is preparing to compete in the B-segment

That urban SUVs are booming is no secret to anyone. Proof of this is that premium brands such as Audi have also ventured into this segment with the Q2, a model that, by the way, we were able to test recently for you at Highmotor. Now, another brand that will have another urban SUV will be Hyundai, following the spy photos I bring you below.
The guys at Carscoops have managed to obtain images showing a SUV from Hyundai for the B-segment, covered on the outside with heavy camouflage that reveals little or nothing about its possible shape. Although rumours are always present, it is said that this new SUV from the South Koreans could be based on the Intrado Concept, a prototype shown at the Geneva Motor Show in 2014.
Although it is most likely that it will take the Hyundai i20 as the basis for its platform, it is also likely that its interior and exterior styling will be a mix of components from the i20 and the i30. In fact, it is also said that its engine options may be some of those found in the new Hyundai i30, with the difference that permanent all-wheel drive or front-wheel drive will be available.

Inside, as you can see in the images, it is also covered with a good deal of camouflage, and what little we can see should not be taken as a final design. Even so, we can see the touchscreen used to operate the various options, the rectangular air conditioning and heating vents below the screen, and the climate control buttons.
Finally, inside, we can also see the instrument cluster with an analogue design in blue and white tones, which suggests a rectangular screen in the centre of the dashboard that will display various vehicle information.
For now, that is all we can tell and show you. We will have to wait for Hyundai to reveal more information or remove more camouflage from the test vehicles. What is certain is that, given the good taste shown in the latest updates to its models, the final design of this SUV will be quite on a par with its rivals. Rivals that, by the way, will not be easy to dethrone, and models such as the Juke or Mokka X will already have their latest updates by the time Hyundai launches its SUV on the market.
