SsangYong Korando e-Motion: detailed presentation of the brand's first electric SUV
With its arrival expected in 2022, the South Korean brand has officially unveiled the new 100% electric version of the Korando

SsangYong has just officially unveiled its new Korando e-Motion, an SUV based on the well-known Korando that will have the important mission of not only being the brand’s first electric vehicle, but also being the spearhead with which the company aims to boost its sales after going through a period marked by economic problems.
The new Korando e-Motion measures 4.40 metres in length, 1.86 metres in height and 1.62 metres in width. These dimensions allow it to offer good interior space and a boot with a capacity of up to 551 litres.
Specific features
As for its design, as can be seen in the new photographs published by the manufacturer, this new electric SUV has several exclusive details that set this version apart from the combustion one. Such as its closed grille and front bumper, as befits an electric car, its headlights with a fine blue line along their inner edge, its aerodynamic wheels of 17 inches, or its mirrors and rear protective trim, also in blue.

Stepping inside, the new Korando e-Motion also features multiple inserts in the same blue as its exterior elements, complementing its fully digital 12.3-inch instrument cluster, its 9-inch infotainment system screen and its black upholstered seats with blue stitching.
As we advanced in the leaks published last June, the new SsangYong will feature only one electric motor for the front axle, producing 190 CV of power and a maximum torque of 360 Nm, paired with a 61.5 kWh battery that will allow it to travel up to 340 kilometres on the WLTP cycle.

Very attractive price
One of the strong points of this new electrified SsangYong SUV is its price, starting at around 36,000 euros for the entry-level variant (Urban) and 39,000 euros for the top-of-the-range version (Limited). This figure must be added to the aid available under the Plan Moves III of up to 7,000 euros.
