Subaru BRZ RA Racing: base for tuning

The Toyota GT-86 and its twin, the Subaru BRZ, have become two vehicles that the specialist press has already talked about at great length. I don’t think there is anyone who would not enjoy a low-priced coupé with a high dose of fun behind the wheel, even though under its bonnet there is no V8 or V10, just a simple two-litre engine.
But let’s talk now about the Subaru BRZ. With good sales figures and a fairly significant reception in Japan, all kinds of tuners were soon going to appear to customise the coupé. There is a multitude of Japanese tuners who already have everything imaginable for both models. The problem until now was that the cost of the modifications had to be added to the cost of the car itself. That has a solution with the BRZ RA Racing.
The Subaru BRZ RA Racing is an improved version of a model presented last year, the BRZ RA. The idea here is that the customer has a “basic” car to start a tuning project. The BRZ RA had no equipment at all, being just the bare bodyshell, engine, wheels with steel rims and nothing else.
The BRZ RA Racing comes slightly better equipped, so that we can concentrate solely on tuning the engine and adding accessories. A safety roll cage, new brake lines and an oil cooler have been added, all for the equivalent of 23,000 euros. From there on, it is only a matter of letting your imagination run wild and opening your wallet to count how many banknotes we have to tune the BRZ.
