Subaru BRZ Special Edition: an exclusive special edition for just 20 lucky owners
Subaru has just launched the BRZ Special Edition, a limited run of 20 units that offers both aesthetic and dynamic improvements.

Nowadays there are few sports cars that can be considered pure, even though their performance far surpasses that of the past, but, without a doubt, the Subaru BRZ belongs to that select group. The Japanese firm decided seven years ago to collaborate with Toyota to jointly create a relatively affordable car capable of evoking the sensations offered by sports cars from not so long ago. However, Subaru has sought to improve the formula with what it has called the BRZ Special Edition, a special edition available to just twenty lucky owners.
It is true that the commercial life of this first generation of the BRZ is about to come to an end and, although it is going to have a successor, Subaru may have created this special edition as a farewell. At first glance there are not many changes we can see in the Japanese sports car, but there are enough to make us aware of the presence of a more exclusive package.
Subaru knows full well where much of the essence of the BRZ comes from, which is why the engine has not been altered on this occasion. With this premise, the sports car still hides under its bonnet that 2.0-litre, four-cylinder naturally aspirated heart capable of producing 200 CV and 205 Nm of torque, figures that are sent directly to the rear axle through a six-speed manual gearbox, with the Sachs dampers being the only mechanical difference from the conventional variant.

However, it is both the interior and the exterior that have benefited most from this special edition. To be more specific, the firm has dressed the BRZ Special Edition with 17-inch multi-spoke alloy wheels that change the overall look with great success, a task also carried out by the mirrors, spoiler and antenna in a glossy black finish.
The cabin is now represented by seats trimmed in black Alcantara and cinnamon leather that aim to create an attractive contrast. This same combination can also be seen on the door panels, while the steering wheel, gear lever, dashboard and rear seats have opted only for cinnamon-coloured stitching.

As we have mentioned, the Subaru BRZ Special Edition will be limited to twenty units, so only a few will be able to enjoy it. Its price for the Spanish market will be the same as that of the BRZ in Executive trim, that is, 32,900 euros including the current commercial campaign of 1,250 euros.
