Subaru XV Concepts Geneva Motor Show SUV
Subaru XV Concept, star of the 2016 Geneva Motor Show

Subaru took advantage of its presence at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show to present a new concept car, which brings the design language of the Japanese brand to Europe. This model gives us a preview of the look and equipment that will be on board the next generation of this model. What this show car conveys is robustness and elegance, thanks to what they have called DYNAMIC XSOLID, a design philosophy that seeks to convey the dynamism of the XV at a single glance.
This design leads us to the front, where the Subaru XV Concept features a hexagonal grille with a three-dimensional look that will be one of the main hallmarks of the brand’s new models. Framing the grille we see the light units, which, although they aim to be hawk’s eyes, also recall the placement of the boxer engines of the 1950s, a nod to past times carried into the future.
Seen from the side, we notice its raised waistline and the ridges that give it the SUV look, which reinforce the visual appearance of the wheel arches that conceal permanent all-wheel drive, allowing it to tackle the most difficult terrain. A matt black moulding starts at the front bumper, runs along the entire side, marking the wheel arches, and reaches the rear bumper, providing a contrasting touch to the body colour.

The rear keeps the look seen at the front, following the design and maintaining the design of the light units from the front. The body colour also has its meaning. Glacier Khaki Silica is a shade that aims to bring the appearance of a glacier to the roads, so it also gives an incentive to stand out among the other novelties.
