Teaser of the new Lamborghini model to commemorate its 50th anniversary

Lamborghini turns 50 and, like other great historic brands, the time has come to launch a supercar capable of honouring the brand created by Ferruzio Lamborghini half a century ago. After several rumours at the end of last year, the Italian firm itself, owned by the VAG Group, has just revealed the first teaser of its future commemorative model.

Lamborghini’s own CEO, Stephan Winkelmann, even stated that it will not be a retro vehicle, quite the opposite. They will manage to create something very “special” with a unique design. For the time being we have no further details about the next bull with four wheels, but according to a member of LamboPower, this special model built to celebrate the company’s 50th anniversary will be an Aventador with more carbon fibre components and a significant change to its lines.

Could we be talking about the successor to the Lamborghini Reventón, a supercar inspired by the brand’s flagship? I have no doubt. They’ve done it once before, so why not twice. It goes without saying that, whatever the base of this one, it will be manufactured as a limited edition and I don’t think it will be more than 20 or 30 units, just like its predecessor.

Most likely it will be unveiled on 11 May, during the 50th Anniversary Grand Tour which will end at the company’s headquarters in Sant’Agata Bolognese.
