Fuji Heavy Industries, the manufacturer of Subaru vehicles, has announced today that the new Subaru XV will debut worldwide at the 87th edition of the Geneva International Motor Show, which we will attend so as not to miss a single detail. The compact SUV from Subaru, with raised suspension and a rugged appearance, will be unveiled on 7 March.

The SUV model from Subaru has been the best-selling model in the brand’s range in the Spanish market since its launch, with more than 800 units sold last year. Many manufacturers have chosen to expand their crossover range in order to increase sales volume, and in this case Subaru does not seem willing to be left behind.

The Japanese car brand has revealed a teaser image that previews a longer and lower body for this new Subaru XV. This SUV will debut a new modular platform, the same one on which the next generation of the Subaru Impreza will be built.

The Subaru Global Platform will produce more refined vehicles geared towards comfort, achieving greater interior space without sacrificing their dynamics. This platform could achieve a 50% reduction in body roll thanks to the use of independent rear suspension and a stabiliser bar. Subaru has also announced that, with the new platform, its vehicles will gain a structural improvement of more than 70%.

For the time being, the Japanese manufacturer has not given further details about the new XV, except that its arrival in our market is scheduled for late this same year.
