When the new badge that this legendary car will wear was unveiled, we wanted the debut date confirmed, and to the delight of muscle car fans, Ford has announced that the new Mustang will be officially presented at the Los Angeles Auto Show alongside a new concept.

Some interesting details have also been revealed. First, it shares its length and width with the current model, but its new design will allow the car to take on a more athletic look and may even appear smaller.

So the bulky look of the Challenger and the Camaro will essentially be left in the past, because you cannot go against market trends for long, even when dealing with exclusive models.

As for the engine lineup: the new Mustang will be the first car to showcase the new generation of engines developed by Ford, which are specially tuned to meet CAFE regulations.

That is why the V8 engine used in the current models could be replaced by an EcoBoost V6 that offers the same power and greater efficiency, at least in theory.

One of the teaser images shows the GT logo, which really intrigues me because this version supposedly would not be seen until 2012.

Quien se retrasa hasta el 2012 es el Fusion, no el Mustang 😉
