A few days after being unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show, Koenigsegg has released the technical specifications of its latest creation, the Agera R.

Starting with the heart of the beast, this is a 5.0-litre twin-turbo V8 producing 1,115 CV and 1,200 Nm of torque. Paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch gearbox, it can take the 1,330 kg supercar from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.9 seconds, and from 0-200 km/h in 7.5 seconds. If we keep our foot firmly down on the accelerator, the Agera R will reach a top speed of over 390 km/h.

Also interesting is the figure for 0-200-0 km/h, which is completed in 12.7 seconds. Fuel efficiency is addressed with an official average consumption of 14.7 l/100 km (310 g/km of CO2). On its own it is a very high figure, but when set against the performance it is not unreasonable.

The body of the Agera R is built from carbon fibre and designed so that at 250 km/h the pressure exerted on the front equals the weight of a 300 kg mass. To increase grip even further, there is an adjustable rear wing and a prominent rear diffuser.

The interior is wrapped in premium materials such as leather, and offers certain comforts such as electric windows, sat nav and a powerful sound system with iPod and USB inputs. Optional extras include heated seats, 4-point harnesses, a rear-view camera and exposed carbon fibre bodywork.

There is no word on price, although don’t expect it to drop below one million euros.
