Tesla will unveil a pick-up truck in 2019
The CEO of Tesla is excited about the idea of launching a pick-up truck onto the market, and according to his latest statements, the first prototype of this vehicle will arrive next year.
The CEO of Tesla, Elon Musk, is eager to launch a pick-up truck onto the market, and we all know that when this man sets out to do something, it eventually happens. In fact, he is so eager to see this product on the roads that he is planning an express launch. A few days ago, the head of the electric carmaker responded in this way to a user asking about his electric prototype:
I’m dying to make a pickup truck so bad … we might have a prototype to unveil next year

The user in question asks: “When can I reserve my pick-up truck?” To which Elon Musk replies: “I’m dying to make a pickup truck… we might have a prototype of this vehicle to unveil next year“.

If we look at the background and Musk keeps his promise, next year we could see the concept of his pick-up truck, and within two years the definitive version. In recent years, Tesla has unveiled prototypes of its new models two years before they went into production.
In 2016 and 2017, for example, it launched the entry-level version of the Tesla Model 3, the Tesla Roadster and the Tesla Semi. So if things go as planned, we could have a new Tesla pick-up truck in 2021.
Elon Musk is so keen to bring this vehicle to market that he has even admitted not being worried about the car’s sales.

“Personally, I’m very excited about this truck. It’s something I’ve wanted for a long time…. It’s as if I really wanted to make something super-futuristic, cyberpunk-style. If only a small number of people buy this truck, I suppose we’ll have to consider making a more conventional truck in the future. But this pick-up truck is what excites me most personally. It’s going to have a lot of titanium,” he said.
