The 10 brands with the lowest average emissions

A great deal is said in the automotive sector about exhaust emissions into the atmosphere and about reducing consumption: the technical efficiency of engines is always called into question, and work continues to improve engines that are increasingly optimised: even sports cars reduce their consumption and fit diesel engines.
So here we have a list of the 10 brands whose cars, on average, produce the lowest CO2 emissions into the atmosphere. It is also true that, in general, the smaller the engine displacement and the horsepower it is capable of producing, the lower the emission of polluting gases; but this is only an indicative measure: a more accurate one would perhaps be the relationship between emissions and horsepower.
- Fiat emits an average of 129.1 g/km
- Mini emits an average of 129.6 g/km
- Toyota emits an average of 132.7 g/km
- Lancia emits an average of 134.1 g/km
- Peugeot emits an average of 134.4 g/km
- Hyundai emits an average of 138.7 g/km
- Citroën emits an average of 138.8 g/km
- Renault emits an average of 138.9 g/km
- Ford emits an average of 140.2 g/km
- Chevrolet emits an average of 141.5 g/km
It is therefore no surprise to see many mainstream brands: BMW and Audi are two brands whose engines are characterised by maximum technical efficiency; however, the large displacement and the power they produce prevent them from appearing in this ranking.
