The 10 key points of the new Toyota Prius, which, unless otherwise announced, we will not see in Spain
The fifth generation of the Toyota Prius is now much closer to its arrival on the European market, showcasing its design, technology, efficiency and equipment
The fifth generation of the Toyota Prius was unveiled a few months ago and has arrived with interesting new features, offering fresh styling and a more appealing driving experience. With its focus on efficiency and plug-in hybrid technology, the Prius positions itself as the most efficient vehicle in its history. Furthermore, this new version will be available exclusively in Portugal, offering electrified driving thanks to its Plug-in Hybrid technology. Join us on this journey as we explore the 10 key points that make the new Toyota Prius one of the great benchmarks in its segment.
1. Revolutionary styling: The new Toyota Prius impresses with a modern, elegant design, featuring aerodynamic lines and a lowered coupé-like silhouette. Its distinctive wedge shape evolves, attracting attention and breaking convention.
2. Plug-in Hybrid technology: Available exclusively as a Plug-in Hybrid, the fifth-generation Prius stands out for its efficiency and its commitment to carbon neutrality. It is the most efficient Prius in history and represents a step forward in the electrification of Toyota.

3. Dual DNA: The Prius combines genuine electric driving capability (EV) with improved hybrid performance. With an electric range of up to 86 km thanks to its 13.6 kWh battery, it offers fully electric driving on most daily journeys.
4. Power and efficiency: The fifth-generation Toyota plug-in hybrid system delivers a surprising driving experience. With a 2.0-litre TNGA engine producing 152 CV and a new front motor producing 160 CV, the Prius reaches a total system output of 223 CV. It also features especially low CO2 emissions (WLTP), the lowest in Prius history.
5. GA-C platform: The new Prius benefits from the second generation of the GA-C platform of Toyota’s New Global Architecture (TNGA). This lighter and more rigid platform contributes to improved balance and handling, providing more stable and agile driving.

6. Integrated solar cells: To maximise efficiency, the Prius offers an optional system of solar cells integrated into the roof. These cells can generate up to 8.7 km of electric range per day and help improve the vehicle’s overall efficiency by more than 15%.
7. Spacious and elegant interior: The Prius cabin combines driving enjoyment with practicality, offering a spacious environment and high-quality materials. Its seven-inch display is positioned in the driver’s line of sight, prioritising safety by keeping the eyes on the road.
8. Innovative technologies: The new Prius incorporates cutting-edge technologies, such as Toyota T-Mate and the latest generation of Toyota Safety Sense (TSS). T-Mate allows over-the-air updates, while Safety Sense improves safety with an enhanced front camera sensor and front side radar sensors.

9. More power, less weight: The Prius plug-in hybrid propulsion system is more compact yet more powerful than its predecessor. Total system output increases by 122 CV, achieving a very high thermal efficiency of 41%. In addition, the system is lighter and more compact, resulting in lower fuel consumption.
10. Commitment to the environment: As a pioneer in electrification, Toyota is committed to reducing emissions and sustainability. The new Prius is a clear example of this commitment, offering sustainable driving without compromising performance, comfort and driving excitement.
