THE 2010: Nissan Murano CrossCabriolet

We have seen many bold and innovative vehicles throughout the life of this blog, especially when events of the stature of the Los Angeles Auto Show take place. Even so, what Nissan presented at the Los Angeles show is truly unlike anything else, since until now nobody had dared to convert a luxury SUV into a convertible, as it has with the Murano.

With this idea in mind, Nissan has unveiled its peculiar Murano CrossCabriolet, a vehicle we had already discussed more than once but which, as the saying goes, you don’t really believe until you see it in person.

Among its peculiarities, it is worth highlighting how Nissan has removed the B-pillar on this model, the front doors have been lengthened to cover the gap left by eliminating the rear ones and, of course, where there was once a huge roof, this model now sports a magnificent fabric soft top.

As for the sale of this unusual model, it seems Nissan will finally sell it, yes, in a single well-equipped version powered by the massive 3.5-litre V6 that delivers 265 CV. So far it is only known that it will go on sale in the US market early next year, priced from $46,390.

Without further ado, here are the photographs taken live of the model, which will surely, at the very least, catch your eye.
