The advantages of the Ford Ranger, at the service of users
After carrying out a survey of around 5,000 pick-up users, Ford has applied everything learned in this consultation to improve the vehicle for Europe.

The arrival of the new version of the Ford Ranger in Europe has been good news for users of this vehicle. To keep them happy, Ford itself has carried out a consultation to find out what they need so that it is as efficient as possible. With the data obtained from this survey, work has been done to improve the characteristics of the load bed and other elements in the cabin.
The arrival of the Ford Ranger, the pick-up from the American brand that will reach Europe in 2023, will be good news for users of this type of vehicle, intended in principle for fieldwork and farms. The improvements made to the vehicle improve access to and use of the load bed, according to the responses offered by users.

Five thousand interviews
5,000 interviews were conducted with pick-up users, who detailed the things they want in their vehicle. This was passed on to the design team, which made several changes to achieve improving the pick-up and making it easier to use.
The rear cargo bed access step makes it easier to load items. It is fixed by means of two steel brackets, which makes it strong and durable. It means there is no need to step onto a wheel to access the bed. In addition, the bed lighting has been improved so that it is easier to see what is being placed in it.

IMPROVEMENTS TO THE FORD RANGER
All the lighting can be controlled through the infotainment system and the touchscreen, or even from the FordPass 2 app on your smartphone. This makes it possible to achieve 360 degree lighting around the vehicle or to focus on a specific area around it.
In addition, the tailgate is easier to open and close. It becomes a mobile workbench. It has two pockets for clamps covered with spring caps. There is also a ruler with 10 mm increments to make measuring easier. In the bed there is a 400 W inverter and several 12 V sockets, so the user can connect different electrical items, both tools and leisure equipment, such as an oven or a small fridge, as well as devices such as smartphones or a laptop.
The cargo space has been optimised, and there are elements to improve placement and secure the contents of the bed. The Ford Ranger also comes with 150 optional accessories that help improve the use of this pick-up, which arrives in Europe eager to find its niche in the market for this increasingly popular type of vehicle, adapted for both work and leisure.
