Audi completes the range of its flagship with the new Audi A8 60 TFSIe quattro
The brand with the four rings has just added to its A8 range a plug-in hybrid version with 462 CV and up to 59 km of electric range

The luxury saloon from Ingolstadt has just completed its range with the addition of the new Audi A8 60 TFSIe quattro. A version that, in addition to offering the comfort and refinement known in the model, adds a high level of performance and efficiency thanks to its hybrid system.
With this, this new variant joins the diesel versions A8 50 TDI quattro, A8 L 50 TDI quattro and, finally, the most powerful and sporty version, the Audi S8.
Like its diesel version, the new A8 60 TFSIe quattro is also offered with a long wheelbase, and represents a major strategic move for Audi, since 1 in every 4 Audi A8 sold on the Spanish market is equipped with plug-in hybrid technology, giving it an extra dose of versatility.

The mechanics of the new A8 60 TFSIe quattro
Its propulsion system consists of a 3.0-litre TFSI petrol engine, supported by an electric motor integrated into the 8-speed tiptronic gearbox, raising its output to 462 CV and 700 Nm of torque.
Powering the electric motor is a new lithium-ion battery located at the rear, offering a capacity of 17.9 kWh gross, giving the possibility of covering up to 59 km of maximum range in fully electric mode, an improvement of 35% over its predecessor.

Performance and efficiency
As we have already said, one of the biggest assets of this hybrid system is that it allows the A8 to offer fuel consumption figures of between 1.8 and 2 l/100 km, not bad for a car weighing nearly two and a half tonnes and with more than 450 CV under its bonnet, thanks to which it is capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.9 seconds.
As for its standard equipment, the A8 60 TFSIe features elegant 19-inch alloy wheels, adaptive air suspension, four-zone comfort climate control, the MMI Navigation system with MMI touch response, a fully digital instrument cluster Audi Virtual Cockpit, Audi Parking System Plus, and rear light clusters with OLED technology.

To this long list of notable standard equipment, interesting options can be added, such as four-wheel dynamic steering, the HD Matrix LED digital headlight system, the rear infotainment system with two 10.1-inch screens, or the Bang & Olufsen sound system with 23 speakers.
And its price?
As you can imagine, the price of the new Audi A8 60 TFSIe quattro is not for every pocket, as it starts at 119,510 euros for the short wheelbase version and 122,300 euros for the long wheelbase one.
