The aesthetic revision of the Ford Fusion will feature a 'Sport' version with 325 CV

The Detroit Motor Show is already offering the first news of the year, and Ford, one of the most important American manufacturers, has shown us the facelift of the Fusion. In addition to the changes typical of this type of cosmetic refresh, the manufacturer has unveiled the Ford Fusion Sport, a variant that delivers more power and allows its engine to produce 325 CV, also equipped with elements designed for a vehicle of this kind and worthy of its name.

The ‘Sport‘ version features a 2.7-litre Ecoboost V6 engine, which transmits all that power through a six-speed automatic gearbox that also delivers a maximum torque of 475 Nm. The power is sent to all four wheels, but the brand has not yet released its acceleration and top speed figures, so we will have to wait a little longer to learn them.

Another feature of this Ford Fusion Sport is its damping system, which prevents potholes from becoming a problem and minimises their effect when the car hits one. Aesthetically it differs from the other versions through its larger air intakes, 19-inch wheels, gloss black grille and a rear spoiler, plus a quad exhaust that gives it a very distinctive sound and look.

The other versions presented were the Fusion Hybrid, the Fusion Energi and the Fusion Platinum, which keep the propulsion systems they used until now. The Fusion Energi uses a 7.6 kWh lithium-ion battery, which allows a range of 30 kilometres in pure electric mode, although when combined with the combustion engine it can cover around 500 km.

Regarding technological equipment, Ford has fitted the Fusion range with the new version of its infotainment system, SYNC 3, which includes a touchscreen, voice recognition and an interface that is simpler to use.
