The Aiways U6 is finally making its debut in Spain, where it can now be ordered.
Aiways is starting sales of the second of its models in Spain, the U6, which can now be reserved and will begin deliveries in spring.

A new Chinese, fully electric vehicle is arriving in our cities, and no, don’t tear your hair out, because this is not just any low-cost Chinese car. It is the new Aiways U6 that the brand presented a few months ago on World Electric Vehicle Day, and whose development involved brands as major as Bosch and Prodrive. It is the brand’s second model in Europe and can now also be ordered in Spain.
Following a successful launch and the start of its sales in Europe with the U5, the Chinese brand Aiways is launching the second of its models, the U6. Based on the brand’s MAS platform, dedicated exclusively to its fully electric models, the U6 is presented as a family SUV loaded with technology, all combined with an striking design that will undoubtedly turn heads wherever it goes.

Its coupé-like lines shape this fully electric SUV with a undoubtedly spectacular presence, featuring a front end with pronounced lines in which the absence of a grille stands out, although it does not give up on openings, large ones at the bottom of the bumper and on the sides. Positioned above the latter sits the LED light unit with a unique light signature. From the sides, the aerodynamic front and rear fins, the lower protections, and the roofline, which descends gently until a rear end that abruptly cuts the initial smoothness, incorporating an LED light unit joined by a central strip, are all visible.

The interior of the Aiways U6 does not compromise on material quality and will surprise with its warm and functional ambience, but perhaps especially with its simplicity: buttons are conspicuously absent in favour of an interior dominated by 8.2-inch screens for the instrument cluster and a 14.6-inch touchscreen for the infotainment system, not to mention the spectacular aircraft-style gear lever.

In Spain the Aiways U6 will only be sold in the Prime trim; you will not be able to choose any other, but as you can imagine, this trim includes a great deal of equipment and technology, among which we can highlight the following:
- 20-inch alloy wheels
- Electric tailgate with hands-free function

Mechanically, the Aiways U6 uses an electric motor delivering 218 CV together with a torque of 315 Nm, working with a 63 kWh lithium-ion battery that gives it a range of 405 kilometres according to the WLTP test cycle. This cycle also certifies a consumption of 16 kWh/100 km and, with a fast-charging power of 90 kW, allows it to go from 20% to 80% of its capacity in 35 minutes.
