AIWAYS U6ion Electric Cars SUV
The Aiways U6 passes all the tests and moves on to the next phase
After 240 days of testing and more than 1.2 million kilometres driven during the tests, the Aiways U6 has passed them with flying colours and is moving on to production.

Manufacturers put their new models through the most demanding tests so that they deliver the best results on the road. Safety and efficiency are essential, which is why every model goes through rigorous testing. In the case of an electric car, they undergo the same tests as a conventional vehicle, but with an extra test to check how it works.
The Aiways U6 has just passed a new battery of tests and has shown that it will be able to deliver what it promises. These tests have put the SUV coupé through its paces, proving that it will work without problems despite continuous use and extreme conditions. In total, eight vehicles were put through these tests.

In total, each of these units covered nearly 400,000 kilometres, so the combined total during this R&D period came to 1.2 million kilometres. Aiways engineers were able to test the car by measuring various variables, such as structural strength, build quality and the propulsion system. Special attention was also given to reliability, consumption and power, as well as noise, vibration and harshness (NVH).
To obtain as much driving data as possible, the engineers tested the car even in inefficient driving conditions. This made it possible to establish whether the car delivers on everything it promises.
The Aiways U6 was able to reach a top speed of 160 km/h, the limit set by its built-in electronic restriction. To control the model’s power, it has been fitted with a second-generation Bosch brake booster called iBooster. This includes a ESP brake control system developed for electric and hybrid models. It helps the brakes respond three times faster than a conventional brake and maximises energy recovery.
The Aiways U6 was also used in real driving conditions, over 55 types of surfaces. The model completed around 1,000 test cycles, and as a result the company can guarantee that it performs perfectly in any situation, regardless of road conditions, dirt or snow and inclement weather.
With these tests passed, the Aiways U6 is nearly ready to enter production and launch worldwide. It will reach Europe in the last quarter of 2022, so we won’t have to wait long to see it on our roads.
