The Audi E-Tron GT will debut at the next L.A. Show 2020

The long-awaited Audi E-Tron GT, the manufacturer’s most anticipated 100% electric sports car, will be officially unveiled in its production version at the next L.A. AutoShow in 2020.

The Audi E-Tron GT is one of the most anticipated 100% electric sports cars on the market. With the success of its bigger sibling, the E-Tron and the recently unveiled E-Tron Sportback, Audi aims to offer a quality sports car within the electric segment.

The concept of this highly anticipated model was presented last year at the L.A. Show 2018. It was very well received and drew positive attention from both the media and the general public.

The brand has now confirmed that next year, at the next L.A. Auto Show 2019, the production version of the long-awaited E-Tron GT will debut.

Audi plans to begin selling the new E-Tron Sportback in spring 2020. Its price will start from €79,000.

Based on this information, it can be deduced that the E-Tron GT would reach the markets in spring 2021 if the Sportback’s strategy is followed. Everything suggests that this will indeed be the case.

The Audi E-Tron GT will be the size of an Audi A7. It will feature a body similar to this one, though of course more avant-garde and modernized. The sporty details in its design will also be present, aiming for a more aggressive, and perhaps less elegant, style than the A7.

The GT concept presented last year features a “flat floor” architecture. The 90 kWh battery pack occupies the entire underfloor space between the axles.

As for its range, according to official figures from the WLTP cycle, it is expected to be capable of covering 400 kilometers on a single charge. These numbers are not bad, however, perhaps we are starting to expect more from one of the most advanced manufacturers in the electric sector…

Its engine will not disappoint. The electrical energy from its batteries provides the Audi E-Tron GT with a total of 582 CV, that is, 434 kW.

New information will gradually emerge; in the meantime we can enjoy the images of the model, which reveal impeccable taste and a very sporty design.
