The Audi Q6 will arrive in 2016
Audi has confirmed to a German magazine the launch in 2016 of a smaller, sportier variant of the Audi Q7. This model will be known as the Q6 and will come with sporty yet efficient diesel engines.

Over the last few years, rumours have been circulating about a smaller, sportier variant of the Audi Q7, one of the best-selling crossovers of the last decade, in the purest style of the BMW X6. This Sport Activity Coupé would reach the market in mid-2016 under the name Audi Q6.
Everyone knows that the four-ring brand has invested millions of euros in improving both the efficiency of its factories and expanding its model range, alongside the development of lighter vehicles. These developments will become evident with the arrival of the German firm’s fourth SUV between 2015 and 2016.
According to a German magazine, production of this new model has already been confirmed, along with the introduction of sporty diesel engines with minimal fuel consumption.
The first pricing details point to figures very similar to its sibling, the Audi Q7, of which a completely new variant is expected by the end of the year or early 2014. It would share its platform with the Porsche Cayenne and the Volkswagen Touareg. Unlike the latter, both the Q6 and the Q7 would use a longer rear sub-chassis.
