The BMW iX goes on sale and this is its price in Spain

It was something that had to happen sooner or later, with traditional premium brands turning to electric mobility and putting the new brands that have emerged in recent years on the ropes. BMW now joins the party, going all out with its new fully electric SUV, the iX, in which the best features of the X5, X6 and X7 come together in a vehicle that cares for the environment.

Over the course of this year, BMW has been revealing the data and details of the new iX, a large SUV, as confirmed by its almost 5 metres in length and a height of 1,700 mm. Despite its large size, the skill of the brand’s engineers and designers has created a vehicle with a drag coefficient of 0.25. All of this comes together in an imposing style, visible from the front alone, where the brand’s characteristic large kidney grilles stand out, along with a light unit featuring BMW Laserlight technology that gives it a defiant look.

From the side, it may be where the iX looks most like an BMW X5, and it is also where you can appreciate the attractive wheel design, which can range from 20 to 22 inches. These wheels are also 15% lighter than conventional ones, helping to increase range. At the rear, as with the front, the lines are not pronounced, but thanks to the light unit the look is sporty and menacing.

Mechanically, the new BMW iX will be offered in two power levels. On one hand, the iX xDrive 40 produces 326 CV and has a 76.6 kWh battery, giving it a range of 425 kilometres. On the other hand, the iX xDrive 50 increases output to 523 CV and is paired with a 111.5 kWh battery, allowing it to cover up to 630 kilometres. The price in Spain of the iX xDrive 40 starts at 87,150 euros, while the iX xDrive 50 starts at 104,150 euros.
