A few days ago BMW revealed the prices of the new models from its ///M performance division. We’re talking about the new M3 and M4, which are already on sale in our country.

Following the same steps as in previous years, BMW will take charge of the Safety Car vehicle at the MotoGP World Championship, this year being a beautiful M4.

Yesterday it made its first “working hours” appearance at the Losail circuit in Qatar, where it performed its duties throughout the night. This very special unit obviously features numerous specific modifications to make its use on track as safe and effective as possible.

Thus, this M4, which replaces the M6 that carried out this peculiar job until last season, has a sportier exterior appearance thanks to the brand’s own livery, as well as black-painted alloy wheels, a small lip on the lower part of the front bumper, and high-performance brakes taken from the shelves of BMW Performance Parts.

Inside, the M4 features specific Recaro bucket seats, 4-point safety harnesses and a roll cage that guarantees maximum cabin integrity in the event of an accident.

The technical section undergoes no modifications, that is, under the hood we find a 3.0 straight-six twin-turbocharged engine producing 431 CV and 550 NM.
However, the exhaust system changes completely, handled by specialist Akrapovic. The result is undoubtedly brutal, with a sound capable of raising the hair on your neck right from idle.

We leave you the video so you can enjoy it. Just be careful with the volume, and make sure to watch until the end of the recording.
