The BYD Atto 3 now comes with an interesting offer in Spain for its "Design" trim

The penetration of electric vehicles in the Spanish market is not progressing at the pace that both authorities and manufacturers would like, whether due to a lack of infrastructure, the final cost for the customer, or simply because they are not fully convinced. Nevertheless, this slower pace of sales ultimately translates into advantages for customers, who can benefit from generous discounts when buying their next hybrid or electric car.

This is the case of the Chinese giant BYD, which has recently landed in Spain with part of its arsenal, including the Atto 3, a fully electric SUV aimed at the C segment that we were able to test last spring. Unless you are a dedicated hybrid or electric enthusiast, BYD may not sound very familiar to you at the moment, but keep it in mind, as it is one of the major Asian brands arriving to challenge European manufacturers thanks to its strong engineering.

The BYD Atto 3 offers several features, such as being built on the new e-Platform 3.0, resulting in an SUV measuring 4,455 mm in length, with a width of 1,875 mm and a height of 1,615 mm, providing considerable space for five people as well as a boot with a capacity of 440 litres, expandable to 1,138 litres when the rear seats are folded down.

Its entire design and interior space are backed by generous standard equipment from the very first trim level, but BYD wants the Atto 3 to make a strong entry into Spain, and is launching a very attractive discount on the Design trim, which is the fully equipped version. Among its equipment, we find items such as:

Mechanically, let us recall that the BYD Atto 3 uses a single electric motor mounted on the front axle with a power output of 150 kW (204 CV), working together with a lithium iron phosphate battery that they call the “Blade Battery”, which provides a range of up to 420 kilometres on the combined cycle (565 kilometres on the urban cycle). This battery can recharge 100% of its energy in 80 minutes using direct current on a 150 kW charger.

Now let’s move on to the other interesting part, the offer, which applies to Atto 3 Design units in stock that are registered by 30 September 2023, whether paid in cash or through other arrangements such as multi-option or financing. As such, it is available for €38,780 (€32,050 in the Canary Islands), and with the aid of the Plan MOVES III including scrappage, its price is reduced to €31,780 (€25,050 in the Canary Islands). In addition, a further €1,000 will be deducted on transactions with a minimum financing of €20,000.
