The Chevrolet Camaro Hennessey Exorcist is a 1,000 hp beast that will leave no one indifferent

Nowadays, we are used to many brands offering a sporty alternative within their range of performance models but, on certain occasions, for some people they are not enough. This is where Hennessey takes centre stage, an American tuner who knows how to get the most potential out of the vehicles that pass through its hands. On this occasion, the Camaro ZL1 has been the chosen victim, later becoming the executioner: after earning the nickname The Exorcist, the muscle car has become a true track machine, where its effectiveness is undeniable.

Hennessey has been active since the early 90s, a period in which the tuner learned perfectly well how to take its first steps, which have led it to where it stands today. We can see this reflected in its countless creations, such as the Venom GT, but now it is the turn of the Chevy Camaro, a model that aims to take the place of both the Mustang Shelby GT500 and the Dodge Challenger Demon.

Aesthetically, we find the aggressive look that the ZL1 offers as standard but, even so, Hennessey has wanted to give it its own personal touch. The first thing that catches the eye is the powerful rear spoiler that sits on the tail to keep it pinned to the ground, an element complemented by the front splitter, which features various aerodynamic components around it that accentuate its aggressive character.

At the same time, the rear diffuser follows the same design patterns and offers a sporty yet imposing look, since it also houses the four powerful exhaust outlets that harmoniously release the symphony of its heart. However, an eye-catching look cannot stand alone, and that is why Hennessey has known perfectly well how to enhance the powertrain found in the depths of the ZL1.

To be more specific, the Chevrolet Camaro houses a 6.2-litre V8 engine capable of producing 660 hp and 881 Nm of torque, figures that allow it to reach 100 km/h in 3.7 seconds and a top speed of 318 km/h. However, Hennessey has decided to give the ZL1 a considerable power increase, made possible by the addition of a turbocharger. In this way, the Camaro ZL1 Hennessey Exorcist delivers 1,000 hp.

In this way, Hennessey has managed to create the ideal rival for both Ford and Dodge, two brands that compete directly with Chevrolet in the world of muscle cars. Meanwhile, the ZL1, better known as The Exorcist, arrives to declare itself number one and to stay on the podium until its successor arrives.
