The Chevrolet Corvette C8 once again dazzles us with its spectacular sound
The mid-engined Chevrolet Corvette C8 will see the light of day on 18 June, but first it wanted to delight us with its sweet melody while on the move.

The world is already prepared to welcome the next generation of the Chevrolet Corvette, a supercar that has always hit the high note but on this occasion has wanted to do so with even more vigour. This will be possible thanks to the muscle car of muscle cars relocating its engine, an unprecedented move that can be read as a declaration of war against its main rivals on the old continent. It will be on 18 July that we clear up all doubt but, after seeing it on countless occasions rolling under camouflage, it has now wanted to dazzle us with its sound before it sees the light of day.
The traditional camouflage wrap continues to make its appearance over the body of the American supercar, but its distinctive exhaust outlet presents no element that attempts to conceal either it or the soundtrack it emits. And what a soundtrack, gentlemen. It is one of those catchy melodies you cannot get out of your head, except that on this occasion, instead of inviting you to shake your bones, it will urge you to press down your right foot and play with its gearbox.
A quadruple exhaust outlet is split between the two corners of the Chevrolet Corvette’s diffuser and, although everything points to this being its new position, it would not be far-fetched to think the engineers will keep the characteristic four central “trumpets” on the production variant. At the same time, other features also hint that we are looking at a generation that changes not only in its styling, but also in its mechanics.

The Corvette’s habitually bulky nose is reduced on the C8 to much more restrained proportions that combine with more aerodynamic lines. The opposite effect carries over to the rear, where its width now grows considerably, a fact that, together with the tinted windows of the rear deck, leads us to think that this is where the conductor is housed, or in other words, its engine.
However, the American firm has maintained a deafening silence regarding the technical specifications of its latest creation. But considering that it has kept and respected that traditional metallic sound that we motor enthusiasts love so much, we can assume that it will continue to use a naturally aspirated V8 engine, at least in the entry-level versions.

Fortunately, all our assumptions will soon be cleared up, since, as we have mentioned, it will be on 18 July when Chevrolet unveils the new Corvette. In this way, the firm is preparing to offer its customers a more direct rival to the great European titans, who are eagerly awaiting the arrival of this latest generation of the muscle car, which promises to be much faster and more precise.
