The Chevrolet Spark EV already has official data

The small electric car from Chevrolet now has official data ahead of its sale, which is expected to start in summer of this same year.
For the time being, the Spark EV will only be sold in the United States, Canada and South Korea, and in principle will not cost more than $25,000, making it one of the most affordable electric cars on the market.
Let’s recall that the Spark EV was unveiled last year with styling along the lines of the Volt and an “electric” blue colour. Inside, the changes were limited to a new multimedia system and digital instrument cluster with the same interface as the Volt’s.
Well, we now have official data describing a lithium-ion battery with 21 kWh of capacity, which feeds an electric motor capable of delivering up to 130 CV, making it one of the electric cars with the best throttle response. In fact, it will be able to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in under 8 seconds, a really good figure, especially considering we are talking about an electric city car.

The consumption data made public gives 119 MPGe, which, in our metric system, translates to 1.98 L/100 km, a very notable figure. This consumption makes it the most “frugal” electric car of all, with lower consumption than the Honda Jazz EV, Fiat 500e or even the Ford Focus Electric.
The range of the Spark EV has been put at 132 km, similar to its rivals. Charging from a domestic socket will take around 7 hours, although thanks to the fast charger (supplied as an accessory) it can reach 80% charge in 20 minutes.
