The Citroën C1 2012 shows its face
Citroën has just officially presented the new 2012 C1

Once Peugeot has presented its new 107, it’s the turn of its sister brand, in this case Citroën, to do the same with the smallest model in its range. As you well know, we are talking about the new Citroën C1, a vehicle that will finally, although I don’t know why it took so long, be presented at the Brussels Motor Show
Before continuing, especially if you like the vehicle and are interested, this information will be more than useful: the new Citroën C1 will be available from March of this same year. Even so, I am struck by how easily Citroën has handled the renewal of this small vehicle; honestly, they didn’t go to much trouble either

As you can see in the photos scattered throughout the entry, the brand has not changed the basic line of the vehicle at all; instead, they have focused on modifying the front end with the striking incorporation of LED daytime running lights,a better-finished bumper and a much more isolated and visible logo, while the rear remains practically unaltered, except for the addition of the brand’s new logo.
If we now focus on the interior of the model, we find much higher-quality finishes, which is logical given how long the model has been on the market and the experience the brand has gained from the hundreds of small pointers from an increasingly demanding public.
Mechanically there will be no novelties apart from the incorporation of a new 1.0-litre petrol engine producing 68 CV, which will replace the obsolete 55 CV petrol unit. With this new engine Citroën homologates fuel consumption figures of around 4.3 l/100 km for the manual version and 4.5 l/100 km for the version paired with an automated automatic gearbox.
