The Cupra Born range is completed in Spain

The range of the Cupra Born has just been completed in our country. A new option has just arrived, featuring a larger battery that stands out for its extended range. In addition, the new version of the Cupra Born offers a high level of standard equipment and interiors that are more than acceptable for seating five adult passengers.

The most notable changes are the change in homologation for four adults: the model will now be homologated for five passengers, and the inclusion of a higher-capacity battery. The first units equipped with this battery will reach dealerships in August. The new battery offers a capacity of 77 kWh, which will allow the Cupra Born to cover a distance of 546 kilometres on a single charge, although this can rise to 700 kilometres when driven in urban environments.

This is the new version of the Cupra Born

The new Cupra Born is available with an e-Boost engine capable of producing 231 CV of power and stands out for its strong performance: it can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.0 seconds. The new batteries accept charging power of up to 170 kW, compared with 100 kW as standard on the 204 CV version. As a result, charging times are noticeably reduced.

The new version of the Cupra Born offers 231 CV and a 77 kWh battery and comes with LED headlights, cruise control and speed limiter, digital instrumentation, a multimedia system with touchscreen, DAB radio, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, electric windows, alloy wheels, automatic climate control, keyless start and rain sensor, among other features.

The Cupra Born has a starting price of 39,930 euros for the 58 kWh, 204 CV version; the 231 CV e-Boost version with 58 kWh battery rises to 40,220 euros, while the new version with 77 kWh battery, 231 CV e-Boost, starts at 44,770 euros.
