The definitive version of the Lamborghini Urus could arrive ahead of schedule
Several sources claim that the Italian SUV could be presented at the Shanghai Auto Show in its final configuration.
Lamborghini could unveil the definitive version of its first SUV, the Urus, at the Shanghai Auto Show, which will take place between April 19 and 28, according to various media outlets. Yesterday it was revealed that the crossover from Lamborghini will begin production of its test models next April. These models would adopt the definitive version of the Italian SUV. The possibility that the final version of the Lamborghini Urus will be presented in the Chinese market would make a lot of sense, given the strong interest that the public in this country has shown in premium SUVs. In this regard, it is worth recalling that the original concept of the Urus was first presented at the Beijing Auto Show in 2012.

It is difficult to know what the final configuration of the Lamborghini Urus will be, since production of the SUV has not yet begun and no spy images of it have leaked (only virtual renderings like those seen in this article). That said, the design of the definitive SUV is expected to mirror the look of its prototype, that is, a particularly firm and aggressive appearance with the sharp shapes that characterise Lamborghini models. The Urus will keep the brand’s current design language.

As for the mechanicals, we already know that the Lamborghini SUV will feature a four-litre twin-turbo V8 engine. Power figures have not yet been officially confirmed, but the crossover is estimated to deliver around 600 CV. If these performance figures are confirmed, the Lamborghini Urus would surpass the Bentley Bentayga as the most powerful SUV in the world. Once it reaches the market, the Lamborghini Urus will add a plug-in hybrid option to its engine range.
