The Fiat 500L S-Design is presented as a sportier option with special touches
As they have done with other models in their range, the Fiat 500L now joins the S-Design club, with new styling details and more technological equipment

Within the 500 family, we will soon need to create a list of versions so that it is clear which ones can be found on the market. To this we must now add a new member to the already known S-Design editions: the Fiat 500L S-Design, a new special edition based on the Cross version, in which the Italian manufacturer has sought to combine a sportier design with more technological equipment, along with the design touches that characterise the Italian house.
As I was saying, the new Fiat 500L S-Design is based on the top version of the Cross variant, whose exterior has undergone revisions that give it a more modern and distinguished look. These changes begin with the application of the exclusive Bronze Matt colour to the bodywork, gloss black for the roof, which is combined with Myron black applied to the wing mirrors, door handles, mouldings, rear light cluster frames, the grille and the underbody protection plate.

The 17-inch alloy wheels also feature this colour, and as standard equipment, fog lights and tinted rear windows are fitted. Even so, although the exterior bronze colour takes centre stage, those who do not like it can choose another colour from the other five available: Gelato White, Donatello Bronze, Moda Grey, Toscana Green and Black, all of them except black with the option of combining them with a Gloss Black roof.
Inside, this sporty styling has also been applied, including matt black on elements such as the textured strip on the dashboard, which features the 500 logo in bronze; the upholstery features the special S-Design black fabric and Scuba upholstery with double stitching, which also includes the 500 logo embroidered in copper, although certain parts in black leather are also included to give the interior that distinctive touch.

The Fiat 500L S-Design further expands its standard equipment to offer greater technology, comfort and safety, with features such as six airbags, cruise control, a multifunction steering wheel upholstered in Techno leather, a 3.5-inch TFT screen in the dashboard, LED daytime running lights and a 60/40 split rear seat. But the crown jewel of its standard equipment is the Uconnect HD Live infotainment system with a 7-inch touchscreen, which includes connectivity via Apple CarPlay or Android Auto, the Mopar Connect and Uconnect Live services, Bluetooth, audio streaming, text reader and voice recognition function, an Aux connector and USB port, as well as a TomTom 3D navigator with free updates thanks to the Mopar Map Care service.
Mechanically, the Fiat 500L S-Design will offer one petrol engine and two diesels, all updated to comply with Euro 6/D emissions regulations. The petrol offering consists of the 1.4 Fire engine producing 95 CV paired with a six-speed manual gearbox; while the diesel range includes, on the one hand, the 1.3 Multijet II engine with 95 CV with a manual or Dualogic robotised gearbox and, on the other hand, a more powerful option with the 1.6 Multijet engine with 120 CV and a manual gearbox.
For the moment we do not know what the Fiat 500L S-Design will cost on the Spanish market, but we do know that it will be available at dealerships across mainland Spain from 1 October onwards.
