That General Motors is increasingly eager to get rid of its gigantic SUVs is no news, and that there has been more than one offer for the brand is a known fact. However, until now GM had been a bit reserved and waited for the right moment before confirming the sale as certain.

Well, Rick Wagoner has just announced that the bids for Hummer are already more than sufficient and reasonable to start preparing the farewell of the brand within the group, and according to his statements, they are moving as fast as they can to close the sale.

There is no doubt that the haste is more than influenced by their urgency to raise money from wherever they can in order to offset the huge losses they are suffering this year, and thus achieve their goal of reaching liquidity of 15,000 million dollars before moving on to the next. On the other hand, the situation also suggests that Hummer would not be alone in waiting to be cast overboard without delay, but GM says that for the time being the rest stays as it is.

And speaking of other cases, it has also been confirmed that the next model the Swedish company Saab launches will be manufactured in North American territory, although it is not known where or which model it will be, so it could well be the 9-4X, or one of those compact cars with which it plans to expand its range. This makes clear that GM does not intend to abandon Saab, since they believe it is a sales goldmine in Europe, although if it wants to improve it will need a overhaul soon, before it is too late.
