The first V4 supercharger site of Tesla is already operating in Europe
The Netherlands is the country where the first V4 superchargers of Tesla have been installed, and there, Tesla users can start trying out how they work.

Europe’s charging infrastructure for electric cars is growing rapidly across the continent. From 2035 onwards, combustion-engine cars should no longer be sold, so it is important that this service reaches every corner of the continent. Tesla is one of the major players driving this paradigm shift in mobility, which is why it has its own charging network, now expanded with the opening of a new site featuring next-generation superchargers.
These Tesla V4 chargers aim to offer the possibility of charging electric cars in the shortest time possible, with a very high charging power. The first of these installations has opened in the Netherlands, and for the time being it is open only to Tesla users.

Trial period
For several months now, Tesla has opened its V3 fast chargers to all electric models, so anyone can charge their car at its facilities. That said, these new superchargers are available only to owners of Tesla models. This is not permanent, as it is a trial period to test charging capacity.

Once this trial period ends, any electric model will be able to charge at this station. In principle, it has 16 chargers, which will deliver a charging power above 250 kW, the same as V3 superchargers. For now, users report that the charging being offered matches the V3s, but it does not yet exceed them.
Soon, Tesla will increase the charging power, to make the most of this type of charger. This will also be usable by electric cars from other brands, which will be able to benefit from Tesla’s technology. Across Europe, Tesla has 11,000 charging points, which will be increased in the coming months and will include this new charging technology.
