The Fisker Karma gets ready for SEMA

Fisker is joining the SEMA Show with an interesting new addition to the Karma’s styling extras: colored vinyl wraps.

The SEMA Show kicks off in just a few days, an event where brands prepare their sportiest models in the most unimaginable racing liveries. And so, the American maker of luxury plug-in hybrid saloons Fisker could not resist missing one of the most anticipated gatherings of the year.

Although they won’t be bringing anything as completely revolutionary as Hyundai, Toyota or Lexus might, the truth is that seeing the Karma in such eye-catching colors is a surprise. The main novelty is that the colors of the displayed saloon will change every day thanks to a paint applied to removable vinyl sheets.

Called the Karma 3M, the manufacturer itself says that the vinyl wraps will be backed by a warranty of up to five years from the moment they are installed by an authorized Fisker technician at any of the brand’s sales outlets worldwide.

In addition, an edition will also be unveiled to honor the company that supplies their lubricating oils, Mobil 1. The car will feature a matte blue paint and chrome silver with metallic stripes.

Apparently it is one of the few brands that will be bringing innovations that will later be implemented in their road cars. Finally, it is worth noting that it will be one of the few vehicles to feature a plug-in hybrid powertrain like the one fitted to the Karma.
