Ford Sedans Electric Cars Industry
The Ford Focus Electric opens orders in the US

The Ford Focus Electric seems to be the next guest at the table where the Nissan Leaf and the Chevy Volt already sit, at least in the US. Ford has revealed that it will begin taking orders for the new electric model from the oval.
The price will be 40,000 US dollars, a figure that will receive the corresponding discounts established by the Obama administration. Initial orders will only be taken for California and the New York area, but next year the regions where it will be available will be thirteen more states across the American union.
The areas where the Focus Electric will be sold have been chosen according to the availability of charging facilities, regional purchase incentives, and the willingness of electric utilities to electrify for automotive use.
The Focus Electric will be somewhat spartan compared with the multitude of options that are always offered in those parts. It will have only one interior option and two body colors.
It will be interesting to see how the market evolves, with three electric cars on sale and the Focus Electric entering the game.
