Sources close to Ford have confirmed the arrival of the third generation of the Focus RS in 2015. The first news we have about this model points to a radical change compared to the model it replaces. The novelties run from the exterior to the interior, passing through the mechanics of the compact.

The engine, a four-cylinder with 2.3 litres of displacement, will be capable of delivering 330CV of power thanks to the use of a turbocharger. This will be mounted transversely, delivering all its power to the front axle. For this reason, engineers have used a limited-slip differential (LSD), larger brakes and tyres with greater grip and size.

This same engine will also be used in the next generation of the Ford Mustang. As well as delivering a great deal of power, it is environmentally friendly and kind to the wallet of the lucky owner. Used as a fuel-saving measure, it features a direct injection system and a turbo, whose details are not yet known, which promises to improve the efficiency of the block.

The interior of the vehicle promises to be much more sporty and racing-inspired. The 2015 Ford Focus RS will use a sound system to amplify the engine, as well as an exhaust valve that opens when power is demanded, further improving the sound.
