The Ford Taurus 1993 for times of crisis: Americans are laughing at themselves

While some predict this period of deep crisis for the automotive sector will soon come to an end, others are still not so sure, mainly consumers, who see their chances of buying a new car shrinking more and more. Luckily, Americans have learned to keep their heads down and now even laugh at themselves, as a product of the crisis.

That is why they present a Ford Taurus from 1993, the ideal car for these times: with an exhaust system and battery in good condition. A car that takes you from one place to another and fulfils the purpose for which a car was designed. No electronic safety systems, but it has seat belts and automatic door locks. And with a working sound system with cassette player. All of this for just 650 dollars.

It goes without saying that this is just a joke cleverly made by the people at Jalopnik. It’s a pity it’s in English, but it has been shown that everywhere people cook up beans when it comes to talking about car sales figures and future estimates.
