488 GTB Ferrari Supercars Videos
The future Ferrari 488 "GTO" is revealed in this spectacular teaser
Ferrari has just announced a new teaser about the future 488 “GTO”. The images are blurry, but we can make out a number of very interesting elements.

Ferrari has been leaving us eager for months with the sporty version of the 488 GTB. The Italian marque has always been known for offering a vehicle far more focused on the track, starting from its V8 and V12 powered models, and this time would be no different. After many months of waiting, rumours and nerves, finally Ferrari has shed some light on this new model with a teaser that is quite special.
For now we don’t know what name this new variant will carry, but several of us dare to call it “Speciale” – like its previous version – or “GTO”, a name that some of the Ferrari most iconic cars have worn. However, when all is said and done, its badge is the least important thing, especially when we have before us a preparation as spectacular as this Ferrari 488 “supercharged”.
The first thing that catches our attention is a much more radical design which, although we can make out few elements of the future 488 “GTO”, we see enough to sense important changes. These novelties will mainly be reflected in the aerodynamic part of the vehicle, a very important aspect that will be crucial in keeping the new supercar of the Cavallino Rampante planted to the ground.

At the same time, we can notice a much more spartan interior, where the main protagonists are Alcantara and carbon fibre. This should come as no surprise either, since this type of vehicle seeks to reduce weight to the maximum in order to achieve an ideal power-to-weight ratio. What does change compared with the 488 GTB is the sound, an element to which increasing importance is given and which helps envelop the driver in an even greater aura of sportiness.
Another very characteristic element of Ferrari’s sports versions since the 360 Challenge Stradale is the stripes, which run the entire length of the vehicle. In the teaser provided by Ferrari we can see that this 488 “GTO” uses the same tones present on the 458 Speciale, a combination that contrasts perfectly with the acclaimed Rosso Corsa that appears on most of the Ferrari.

For now we don’t know more about this model, but we will soon learn much more at its official presentation at the Geneva Motor Show. The Italian firm has surely squeezed the turbocharged V8 to its limits, achieving impressive performance, but for the moment we will have to make do with seeing it in some slightly blurry images.
