The Gazal-1 moves forward in Arabia

You will surely remember the Gazal-1 from the first glance at the previous image. It was curious indeed that this model was created especially for the Middle Eastern markets, whose design revolved around the Mercedes G-Class, but with a different touch from what we have seen so far.
Well then, the Gazal-1 has received the approval of King Abdullah Bin Abdulaziz (the full name would take at least an entire line) to be taken into production. However, there are some conditions for the project to move forward and for us to see the first vehicle designed and manufactured in Saudi Arabia driving on its roads.
Although the economic situation in Arabia is very comfortable, they have not yet found the 500 million dollars needed for the Gazal-1 to become a reality. Should the funds become available, the creators of this vehicle will have to wait through the prototype and testing process to arrive at the final model, which could take two to three more years.
And it could not be otherwise: the Gazal-1 would carry a V8 engine made by Mercedes-Benz. What I am not very sure about is whether I would buy one if I were Arab and had the economic power of any sheikh. Because to take its place, there is an endless list of supercars I would have in mind instead of the Gazal.
