Genesis GV60 Electric Cars SUV
The Genesis GV60 gets a facelift to welcome the new year in its 2025 edition
The electric SUV from Hyundai Motor’s luxury brand is getting a facelift with aesthetic changes both inside and out, giving it a more aggressive look. An improvement in its range is also not out of the question.
Genesis has just unveiled the latest update to its electric GV60 SUV, which first debuted in October 2021. At first glance, the exterior has received some styling tweaks inspired by the manufacturer’s most recent models. However, the most notable changes are found once you step inside the vehicle.
The previous setup with two 12.3-inch screens has been replaced in this new 2025 edition by a single, much larger 27-inch screen, completely transforming the look of the cabin. This screen stretches across a good part of the dashboard and also features much thinner bezels, giving an impression of greater luxury and modernity.

As for the exterior, the changes are much more subtle, but no less important. The front bumper has been redesigned and now features a modified grille that gives it a noticeably more aggressive appearance. The rear bumper, meanwhile, is now the same colour as the vehicle itself, consigning the eye-catching silver finish of the previous version to the past. In addition, the plastic trim around the wheel arches is now also the same colour as the car.
We can also expect an increase in range
Finally, it is worth noting that although the South Korean manufacturer has not yet announced any changes to the specifications of the 2025 GV60 compared with the previous edition, it would come as no surprise if the battery pack it uses were of greater capacity, as has happened in the updated versions of its sister models within the group, the Hyundai IONIQ 5 and the KIA EV6. These models switched to a new battery pack with 84 kWh of capacity, replacing the 77 kWh unit they had used until then. An improvement that, of course, has ended up translating into a considerable increase in range, of around 20 km.

It is also quite likely that Genesis will begin selling a high-performance version of the GV60 inspired by the GV60 Magma prototype over the course of the year now beginning, also following in the footsteps of its sister brands with the IONIQ 5 N and the EV6 GT.

Genesis will first launch the 2025 edition of the GV60 in its home market, where it will reveal additional information about the available versions and the price list before the end of the first quarter of the year. For now, the company has not provided further details about its launch in other markets, but it is expected to follow shortly.
